No matter how much the government praises it, no matter how much it is praised by the pro-government media, the outcome of Modi's visit to the US is neither good nor bad, rather neutral, and simply induction program facilitated by US to gain voter confidence for US upcoming elections.

At the end of September, Prime Minister Modi visited the US for a week. The visit was to attend the UN General Assembly to be held in New York. But in the wake of the resounding victory in the recent elections in India and the 'surgical strike' in Jammu and Kashmir on the issue of Article 370, Modi made a movement to bring India before the world.

This time, Modi did all this in Houston, which is considered to be the largest residence of Indians in America. Some important messages were exchanged from this highly decorative event in Houston. Modi and Trump, however, had same agenda but for personal gain for the event. Modi wanted to interact with the Indian masses watching the program live; So, Trump was trying to win over the American Indian community, which voted for the Democrats in the last US presidential election. Thus both wanted to win over the confidence of the Indians in US. As one of the events of that week unfolded, it became clear that the event would certainly held on a grand scale and royally.
It is crucial to note that Mr. Modi did failed to conclude any trade agreement with the United States. For some time now, Trump has been constantly talking about trade imbalances between India and the United States. In May, the US withdrew its special benefits to India under the GSP program. In July, Trump himself said, "To date, India has imposed a hefty tax on US goods. It will not be run anymore! ', He tweeted.
India welcomed Trumps' decision and India's Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has boldly stated that India wants to increase competition in the export sector rather than relying on programs like GSP. However, given the current state of the economy, the export gain of approximately $6.4 billion for Indian exporters cannot be ignored. Petronet has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Telurium, a major oil and natural gas company. Rather it was Trump speaking to the rest of the world through Mr. Modi. This clearly showcases how much dependent we are on west for business and better economic reforms.
Earlier, he had citied the quote of peace by the Gautama Buddha and soon after that he went back the topic of terrorism. The leaders of the various countries gathered at Houston must have been puzzled by the contradictory message Mr. Modi wanted to relay to the US audience. Modi visit to US irked the the Indian National congress (INC) and they wouldn't miss any opportunity to bogged Modis' interest. Thus, the INC said, the world is currently focused on the environment and global warming, Modi is tempted to criticise Pakistan / Muslims. In fact, according to INC, it is one of Modis' favorite arsenal in his election campaign. However, the facts are quite different and can be traced back to congress participation in partitioning Hindustan into India and Pakistan, for their two nation theory.
Despite many efforts by the central government, the world's attention has turned to the Jammu and Kashmir, the world definitely don't want India to progress. No matter how many explanations the US government gives, it is clear that Trump has a lot of sauce keen interest to mediate between India and Pakistan. He made such a statement even before meeting Imran Khan in New York last week. Thus all falls into the US interest and nothing else. We are miles away from solid benchmark and ask International communities to also care for our Indian National Interest.
